- Assignment. PRACTITIONER shall not have the right to assign its rights or obligations hereunder without the prior written consent of AP. Any proposed assignment in contravention of this section shall be null and void.
- Notices. All notices required or given herewith shall be in writing addressed to PRACTITIONER/SALON or AP at the designated addresses shown on the signature page hereto and shall be deemed to have been given upon delivery if delivered by hand, via telephone facsimile or electronic mail or by overnight courier service or five (5) days after such notice is deposited in the U.S. mail by certified mail, return receipt requested.
- Counterparts. This Agreement may be executed in any number of counterparts. It is not necessary that all parties sign all or any one of the counterparts, but each party must sign at least one counterpart for this Agreement to be effective.
- Waiver. No waiver of any provision of this Agreement or any breach thereunder shall be deemed a waiver of any other provision or subsequent breach hereof, nor shall any such waiver constitute a continuing waiver. Delay or failure of either party to insist on strict performance or observance of any provision of this Agreement or to exercise any rights or remedies hereunder, shall not be deemed a waiver. No party may waive any of its or his rights or any obligation of the other parties or any provision of this Agreement except by an instrument in writing signed by that party.
- Entire Agreement. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter contained herein and supersedes all prior and contemporaneous undertakings and agreements of the Parties, whether written or oral, with respect to the subject matter herein. This Agreement shall not be amended except by a writing executed by both parties.

Alexandria Professional® Liability Release Form
This Agreement is entered into between Alexandria Professional® and the undersigned (“Practitioner”). The provision of training services by Alexandria Professional® to Practitioner, and Practitioner’s use of any premises, facilities or equipment are contingent upon this Agreement.
RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY.
Practitioner recognizes that there are hazards and risks connected with hair removal techniques such as adverse reactions. As such, the Practitioner hereby exempts, releases and holds harmless Alexandria Professional®, and its officers, agents, employees and volunteers, from any and all claims or causes of action arising out of personal injuries suffered by him/her and/or their responsible parties during the course of training. It is further acknowledged by the Practitioner, that the Practitioner is responsible for the safety of the responsible parties they have brought to the Alexandria Professional® Facility. The Practitioner further agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Alexandria Professional® against any loss, damage or expense incurred by reason of any claim or liability based upon personal injury or property damage arising out of the action of Practitioner or his/her responsible party.
ACKNOWLEDGMENTS: You expressly agree that the foregoing release and waiver of liability is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the law.
You acknowledge that you have carefully read this waiver and release and fully understand that it is a release of liability, express assumption of risk and indemnity agreement. You are aware and agree that by executing this waiver and release, you are giving up your right to bring a legal action or assert a claim against Alexandria Professional® for Alexandria Professional’s® negligence, or for any defective product used while receiving training services from Alexandria Professional®. You have read and voluntarily signed the waiver and release and further agree that no oral representations, statements, or inducement apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.

Attendance Policy
Participant must be present for the duration of the class to become certified. Please put away phones unless there is an urgent issue, in which case should be discussed with the Educator prior to the start of the class.

Paperwork Policy
The student will be emailed all required paperwork to be filled out online prior to the class. This includes a Certificate Request Form, Branding & VIP Agreements, Liability Agreement and the Class Participation Policy. Paperwork must be completed by the student prior to the class. Failure to do so will result postponement into the next available class.
Theory and Practical Policy
Course Format
This course consists of 30% theory and 70% practical. The instructor will demonstrate all practical treatments and then the participants will practice. Participants will gain valuable experience working on each other under the Educator’s supervision. Participants will be evaluated on an ongoing basis during class.
Grading Procedure
There will be a written online exam and a Certification Assessment to be completed within 45 days from the end of the class.
Practical Requirements Please note that a participant is required to have hair on all areas to be sugared during the class practical sessions. Please inform the educator if that is not the case so that options may be discussed ahead of class dates. ALL participants will be required to participate in being a Model for ALL areas.
Areas to be sugared in the AP Advanced Certification Course are: Full Legs, Underarms, Eyebrows, Upper Lip, and Basic Bikini.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO CERTIFY YOU IF YOU DO NOT FULLFILL ALL THE PRACTICAL REQUIREMENT FOR ALL REQUIRED AREAS OF THE BODY.
Should the participant for any reason not be able to be sugared, the participant must organize their own model who must be preapproved by the Educator or AP Corporate before the training class. Participant’s model will have to be available for all the practical sessions over the 2-day course.
- Participants will practice on each other during the class. Any model substitute must be pre-approved by the educator. All model substitutes must be at least 18 years of age and sign a model release form.
- Participant must successfully complete practical training on full legs, bikini, underarms, eyebrows and upper lip to be certified.
- Participant should have a minimum of 10 days hair growth at the first day of class.
- Participant must not sunbathe or use tanning beds during training, for at least 48 hours before training, and for at least 48 hours after training.
- Participant must also disclose the use of any medications or topical products that could be considered a contraindication.
The following products will be used on participants in practical training: Alexandria Professional® Sugar Paste; Presept™ Skin Cleanser; Essential Tonic™; Vertal 6™ Drying Powder; Restore™ Hydrating Lotion; Nitrile Gloves; Mud Puddle®; Salt Spring® and Phenomen-alll™.
Certification Policy
Participant acknowledges and agrees that following their Advanced Sugaring Certification class, they must complete a Certification Assessment within 45 days of the end of their class. The Assessment is included in the initial class fees paid by the participant. This Assessment will include submitting videos as outlined below to the Educator for review and feedback followed by a final Assessment where the participant’s technique will be observed directly by the Educator either in person or via Video Chat.
Should the participant not complete their Assessment in the stated time frame of 45 Days, the participant will have to attend a Sugar Better Workshop to complete their Certification with an Educator at a cost of $75/hr. An exception can be made in cases of family and/or medical emergencies that may prohibit the participant from completing their Certification Assessment within the allocated 45 days.
The participant must also complete their online exam and follow the schedule below for submitting videos to their educator for review and critiquing and for completing their Certification Assessment.
- Week 1 – 6 Steps on legs including knees, feet & toes (2 videos: 1st video to be critiqued with instructions to improve and 2nd video to review improvements)
- Week 2 – Underarms (1 Video)
- Week 3 – Classic Bikini Line (1 Video)
- Week 4 – Eyebrows & Upper lip (1 Video)
- Week 5 – Certification Assessment can be completed in person or via Video Chat with Educator
If the above certification policy is not followed, the Educator has the right to decline certification until all requirements are fulfilled.
Sanitation Policy
Participant is to clean up at the end of each day using Cavicide as the disinfectant; i.e.: garbage, bathroom, beds, trolleys, and equipment, etc.
Purchase Policy
All class training fees and kits are non-refundable and failure to attend a confirmed training date will forfeit the training fees paid by the participant unless the participant chooses to have the training fees transferred to another class date. The minimum product purchase per participant is a Salon Starter Kit. Each additional participant from the same salon must purchase a Practice Kit. If the participant is registered as a student of a professional institute, then the minimum product purchase is a Practice Kit. Head office must pre-approve a request for exception (where applicable).
Inclement Weather
If for any reason a class is canceled due to weather conditions, all pre-paid fees by participants will be held for a re-scheduled class. There is no refund.
Instructor No Show
In the case where an AP Educator does not show up to the scheduled class for any given reason, the participant will have the option to request its pre-paid fees be transferred to a future class; or the participant may elect having their pre-paid fees reimbursed in full. All products pre-paid but not shipped will also be available for refund. Participant may opt to select keeping any products except for any and all AP Advanced Sugar Pastes, which only a certified sugaring practitioner is qualified to purchase and use.
Manufacturer Policy
To maintain manufacture’s insurance, the new Certified Practitioner should always use only AP’s product line and follow AP’s protocol throughout their sugaring treatments. Failure to do so will nullify the insurance. Should complications arise during or following any AP treatment with a Practitioner who did not follow AP treatment protocol, Alexandria Professional will not be held responsible nor will they support the practitioner.
General Policy
Participant must be a licensed professional in the beauty industry or registered as a student at a professional institute or qualified equivalent. Participant agrees to be solely responsible for personal lost or stolen articles. Removing class supplies or equipment from classroom is not permitted. If a participant’s attitude and behavior is deemed to upset or disrupt the class, the Educator will request the participant to leave the class. The observation and decision will be at the sole discretion of the Educator. The participant and the Educator will need to submit a report to AP Corporate to determine whether the participant will be entitled to complete their course at a future Alexandria Professional® Class.
